Introducing: Table Talk

An Artcite/COOK-UP Collaborative Speaker Series

Table Talk invites folks to consider the ways foods and art come together to transform, connect, and nourish. Through stories and memories, participants are invited to interact with the ingredients that make up a dish.

Food and art are powerful ways in which folks express themselves. For this first event in our collaborative speaker series the dish on the table is one that holds a special place in the hearts of many, due to its significance as a celebratory and communal food. Biriyani brings history, politics, and a vibrant sensory experience together on a plate.

Join this month's host, Delna Buhariwalla, from 4–6pm on April 29 at Artcite Inc. gallery. Delna is the co-founder and Executive Director of COOK-UP, a food-business incubator working to cultivate equity in business ownership with a focus on entrepreneurs from marginalised communities.

This will be an interactive experience that will include food tasting. Each participant will leave with ingredients and a recipe, so they can prepare the dish for others and pass on the knowledge and stories they've been told.
