We've had so much fun with our anniversary events and the last one of the bunch is our Dance Party! Join us alongside our lovely friends at CJAM on Friday, August 5th from 7PM - 10PM for a Dance Party in the gallery space.

From inspiration to idea, and concept to creation, we recognize that a lot of labour goes into creating a work of art. Sometimes it’s good to get feedback or a second opinion, but it’s not always easy to just share your work in progress. Join us in the gallery on Wednesday, August 3rd from 5:30PM - 8:30PM for Critique Night!

Come check out some blasts from the past at Artcite’s Artist Market & Yard Sale! On Saturday July 30th from 10AM - 4PM we will have local artists popping up in the gallery space alongside our Artcite Yard Sale.

Instead of a game night at home, why not game night in the gallery? Join us at Artcite Inc. on Thursday, July 28th from 5:30PM - 8:30PM for a night of Pictionary. Register your team of 2 - 4 players ahead of time through the google form provided and get your drawing skills ready.

If you love drumming, poetry, and getting some sun please join us at the first Artcite: OUT OF SIGHT event where we bring the Artcite community together in the great outdoors. Our weekly Community Connector event will be held between 5PM - 6:30PM, except this time we’ll gather at 2527 County Rd 46, Ruscom.

Join us in-person and take a first look as we celebrate the first exhibition of 2022: Vestiges & Remains programmed by artist Morris Fox.

This panel will hear perspectives from Black entrepreneurs in the Arts industry and beyond and learn about how Federal procurement may be an overlooked option for Black entrepreneurs. With a representative from the Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC-OR), be prepared to learn about how you can participate in the 15 to 20 billion dollars of goods and services spent annually. This session will be an open discussion led by Maxine Shelton in partnership with Artcite, with Teajai Travis.

Artist Morris Fox welcomes participants to consider the feelings and memories that are attached to objects in our lives in a workshop that invites the excitement of a show-n-tell with an artist talk, to engage with the lyrical potential of objects. Fox asks, can we think and feel deeper about objects, souvenirs and heirlooms, both every day and precious? How can we navigate space through feeling? The workshop provides a structure of curiosity for storytelling, writing and drawing, allowing participants to dive deeper into their personal archives, to find the supernatural in the mundane, and to craft poetic text, drawings, and/or collages reimagining personal histories, archives and memory.
