In November 2024, Artcite will relocate from its downtown space, where it has been since 1992, to a new, fully accessible location in Ford City. This move is a significant step forward, enabling us to provide year-round programming and better serve our community. Proceeds from this auction will directly fund renovations to the new space, including the construction of gallery walls, installation of track lighting, flooring upgrades, accessible washrooms, archive storage, and more.

The new facility will feature a main gallery for major exhibitions, a community gallery for local programming, an archive reference library, a reception area, a community resource room, and fully wheelchair-accessible spaces. These upgrades will allow us to continue offering innovative programs and exhibitions that inspire and engage our community.

Last Look—the final exhibition in our downtown location—features works by artists who have recently exhibited with us, participated in our residency program, or contributed to our history as staff, board members, supporters, or volunteers.

By bidding in this auction, you’re directly supporting vital improvements at Artcite's new location and helping us continue providing a vibrant, creative space for Windsor-Essex. Your generosity will ensure Artcite’s ongoing impact as we expand the visibility of contemporary arts in the region. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey!
