Laliberte and Diana’s comic writings and drawings command their audience to address the ugly realities in our collective existence.

The Department of Discard Culture presents a constellation of multimedia works by JP King whose diverse research practice focuses on the ways in which material waste shapes our culture.

The artists in this exhibition take up music as both material and language, engaging with the meaning it is embedded with through the context of its production and distribution. As subversive consumers, this group decontextualize the for-mass-produced to produce new and unique versions of relatable favourites.

In preparation for the development of our 2020- Strategic Plan, Artcite Inc. will be engaging artists, colleagues, and community members, asking the question: “How can your artist-run centre work for you?”

Members of the exhibiting group for Dwelling have made their home in Windsor, Ontario and are directly or implicitly informed by this region. They each have very different histories and diverse approaches to contemporary art practices. Through shared discussions and studio visits, they have come together to collaborate on a project that focuses their efforts on the concept of “dwelling.”

Play It Safe is a sculptural and installation-based project concerned with pleasure and restriction.
